Mark joined Kingsbourne as a director in 1994. He was tasked with evaluating variations and claims on a wide range of projects including large dams, bulk earthworks (including open-cast mining), roads and highways, civil, building, pipe-works and harbours.
Mark’s responsibilities include the preparation of claims (including variations) for adjudication, mediation and arbitration for various construction projects in sub-Saharan Africa, Mauritius, Madagascar, the United Arab Emirates, the European Union and the Far East.
Mark regularly sits as an expert witness on matters relating to the quantification of claims in mediations, adjudications and arbitrations in South Africa, Lesotho and Botswana.
Mark has acted, and continues to act, as both a single member DAB and a member of three-person DABs on numerous projects in sub-Saharan Africa.
In addition, Mark holds the rare distinction of having been formally recognised by the People’s Republic of China (PRC) as a construction expert.
China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission – admitted to the List of Experts.
Scott is an admitted attorney, and a qualified solicitor of England and Wales. He joined Kingsbourne in 2004 and became a director of the company in 2009.
Scott specialises in construction law and has represented numerous contractors in a number of mediations, adjudications and arbitrations.
Scott has extensive experience on all the standards forms of contract. He also provides in-house training to Kingsbourne’s clients, in particular on the law of contract and the JBCC.
Bridget worked in the construction industry as a professional quantity surveyor from 1996 to 2012, gaining a wide variety of experience in projects ranging from hotels and casinos, to shopping centres and motor vehicle fabrication plants. She has experience working in South Africa and internationally, including Botswana, Nigeria and Mauritius.
Since joining Kingsbourne in 2013, she has added experience in manufacturing, mine construction, power plants and various other civil projects to her résumé. She is fluent in all forms of contracts, particularly in FIDIC and JBCC. Her experience working as a PQS provides her with an ability to liase with both contractors and employers alike. She has sat as an expert witness on a number of quantity surveying related matters.
Craig has worked for major South African contractors in South Africa and various African countries on a wide range of major projects including roads, bulk earthworks, power stations, civil engineering, building, pipe-lines and harbors.
Craig’s responsibilities include the calculation of quantum in the submission of contractual disputes, mediations, adjudications and arbitrations.
Craig has sat as an expert witness on matters relating to the quantification of claims in mediations, adjudications and arbitrations in sub-Saharan Africa.
Bradley gained experience from 1998 designing effluent/stormwater and sewerage routes within the confines of existing infrastructure.
In 1993 he moved to the civil engineering construction industry where he gained on hands site experience in various projects, including waste disposal, metal refineries, open cast, and shaft-based mining, wastewater treatment plants, power plant, petrochemical plants, cooling towers, and infrastructure. His duties on-site included planning, updating, forecasting, (cost, procurement, production, and quality) and Health and Safety,
In 2002 he was relocated to the estimating and tendering department.
In 2005 he moved to the cellular Infrastructure and HV distribution where he developed an integrated system between estimating finance, and procurement departments. He created the estimating master for the HV distribution costing.
Thereafter EPCM consultant where he accrued out planning for both greenfield and brownfield mining infrastructure from the proposal stage to the implementation stage.
He then moved back to the civil industry as the planning manager for the civils department of a publicly listed contractor.
Andrew joined Kingsbourne in August 2020. Andrew has a proven track record in the disciplines of Commercial, Contractual and Risk Management.
Andrew’s experience has been gained over a period of 35 years within the South African and International Construction Industry, where has held senior positions within tier 1 South African companies and in the UAE.
Andrew’s experience includes a wide range of major projects in the civil engineering and building sector, including roads, dams, bulk earthworks, power stations, stadiums, pipelines and harbours in South Africa, various African countries, and the Middle East.
Andrew’s responsibilities include the preparation of opinions and claims for adjudication, mediation, and arbitrations.
Ruan worked in the construction industry as a senior quantity surveyor from 2012 to 2021 is various areas of the industry where he gained a variety of experience in projects. Projects ranging from luxury homes, shopping centres, casinos, roadworks and power plants. He has gained experience working in South Africa and internationally, including Namibia and Uniter Arab Emirates.
Ruan joined the Kingsbourne team in 2021 and have assisted in various projects both locally and internationally. Ruan has gained experience in various forms of contracts, particularly in FIDIC and JBCC. His experience in working as a contractors quantity surveyor as well as working for a Professional Quantity Surveying firm, provides him with an ability to liase with both contractors and employers alike. He has started assisting as an expert witness on a number of quantity surveying related matters.
